Halloween

We simplified Halloween this year. Last year I felt like it was the marathon month of never ending parties. This year we started out the month with our annual Monday night Family Home Evening outing to the pumpkin farm. Connor loved the big blow up slides, swings, and he even did the bungee trampoline.

 We don't have very many Halloween decorations, but made the house pretty spooky with what we had :).

Next activity was the Gilcrease Orchards. This is the cutest little orchard right by out house. They grow all sorts of apples, peaches, pears, squash, carrots, pumpkins and a bunch of other stuff. They also have the most delicious fresh apple juice, pear juice, and apple cider doughnuts made fresh on site!!! We went early in the month with Connor's preschool class and they had lots of pumpkins still on the vine.

We took Ryan back a few weeks later, and everything was pretty trampled. And the pumpkins were being shipped in and tossed out in the fields by the truck loads. It was still fun.

Ryan's parents were here for our ward Trunk-or-Treat. It was fun and super nice to have a couple extra hands to help keep track of our herd of children :).



         Pumpkin carving time :). We only did one pumpkin this year because I am the only one that will gut, and carve and I didn't want to get stuck doing everyone elses.

Connor really, really wanted to be a ghost. So we made an old fashion Charlie Brown ghost costume. It was a hit!!! Everyone made comments about how its been years and years since they'd seen such a cute good old family friendly ghost costume. However, it was a little tricky for Connor to see out of. He had a death grip on my hand the whole time.

The little ballerina was being a total diva and wouldn't stop for a single photo!  

And little Benson was just along for the ride :).
