Newport Beach and Disneyland

Last weekend we took a trip down to Southern CA with our friends the Shakespears to visit with some friends and go to Disneyland. We headed down Saturday afternoon, and went to Downtown Disney that evening for dinner. Sunday we went to the beach and visited our friends Nic and Bekka for Dinner. I am so sad I didn't even get a picture of us together while we were there!

Connor had so much fun playing in the water with Ryan. They jumped the waves for forever! Afterwards, he warmed up by snuggling in the nice warm sand. Honestly, I think he may have had more fun at the beach than he did at Disneyland!

Connor took this picture for us, not too bad.

Look at that face, he never stopped smiling :)

Monday morning we woke up had breakfast with the Shakespears and headed over to Disneyland. We flipped our routine a bit and started at California Adventure, they had the new Little Mermaid ride we wanted to go on, as well as the Playhouse Disney show Connor and Rex love. We didn't end up making it over to Disneyland until close to 3pm :(. Then we raced over to Disney and jump on as many rides as we could since the park was closing at 8pm. We sent the boys on Splash Mountain for their first time and they LOVED it. Connor kept asking to go on it again. We finished off the night with the "fast choo choo" roller coaster. Connor ended up with a tummy ache afterwards and was in tears. So ended up leaving before the World of Color show started and drove home. The kids slept the whole way and we made it home just before 1am. The big bummer of the trip was that our favorite rides were closed; Haunted Mansion, Pirates, California Screamin', and Space Mountain. Sadie was the best baby the whole trip! She never even cried or fussed once. She slept great at night, and was a troop with a very minimal nap schedule. I think next time we go we will have to switch back to our old routine, Disneyland first! California Adventure just doesn't have the same whimsical feel as Disneyland. We can't wait to go back!

I woke Connor up at 8am and I told him it was morning. He jumped out of bed and had to check out the window to see for himself, and of course brought Mickey with him!
