Christmas 2012

One of my very favorite things about Christmas is a cozy house! I love the extra lights and color.

When we were in Utah for Thanksgiving Ryan's family sent the kids home with their Christmas presents. We knew the car would be super packed going to California for Christmas so we decided to have a little  family Christmas night the day before we left. Sadie got a big bear and a bean bag (that Denise made!) from Grandma and Grandpa Heaton. As she opened the present she realized there was something big and fuzzy in it and was too scared to finish unwrapping it. After a little coaxing she finished unwrapping it, but didn't want to touch it, she was scared of it. Then she was afraid to sit in her bean bag. After about 10 minutes she warmed up to both. Now she drags that big bear who is as big as her all over the house and does dive bombs into her bean bag. She cracks us up.

Connor got this little table and chairs from Grandma and Grandpa Heaton. He loves it, he and Sadie can sit there for hours playing, coloring and reading books.

In the morning it was off to California. I dreaded the 10 hour drive, especially since Benson hates to sit in his car seat. But he did great! The ride was long, but totally worth it when we pulled up to my parents house. We had the best welcome! Connor was in heaven with all his cousins and we scarcely even saw him. Sadie loved playing with grandma's doll house and toys.

We really wanted to find a day to go up to my parents cabin in Tahoe, but we weren't able to find a good day to go (we needed to stay longer)! But we did really want to take the kids to see the snow so we just took a quick drive up the hill until we found snow and let the kids play for a bit. Connor and Ty loved sledding! Little thrill seekers.

Now isn't that the cutest little snow bunny ever!

Sadie even got in on the action!

 Hehe, mom didn't want a picture. :)

Christmas Eve, grandma always buys matching jammies for everyone! We love it!

 Family of 5!
And it's crazy to think last year we were just a family of 4 (well, 4.5)!

Christmas morning!

I guess I didn't hardly get any pictures from Christmas morning?

It's always sad when it's over :(. Connor asked if it could be Christmas everyday! I told him that it wouldn't be special if it came everyday. It's magical because it only comes one day a year.
Merry Christmas!
