Benson is 1 year old!!

Dear Benson, Benny, Benny Whenny Boo Boos, Boo Boo, Boo Boo Bear, Benny Bear and just Bear:

I don't even know where to start. You have created a flood of every emotion in us, but the last 6 months has been nothing but smiles, gratitude, and bliss. At six months you stopped crying and started sleeping longer than 2 hour intervals. What made you so uncomfortable for the first six months we may never know. It makes me sad. But the past is in the past and you have been nothing but a joy to have around. You are so snugly, and you will still fall asleep at nap time/night time in our arms. Your laugh is AMAZING! You probably smile the most out if all the kids.

Most days are pretty hectic, and busy with 3 kids. But my peace comes when I turn off the lights in your room and sit in the rocking chair and feed you. When I sit and stare at your face I get a little bit of perspective and makes it so that a have the energy and patience to make it through our crazy days.

You are a fast little guy, and pretty curious. We have to keep close eye on you. I fear you might be the child who hangs from the chandelier. Eeek, I get anxiety just thinking about it. You are a little smarty pants you can already throw a ball! Dad is pretty excited and thinks you might be our baller :). You've been saying momma and daddy for probably close to 2 months, that's the earliest of the kids. I can't hardly wait to see you grow, but want you to stay little forever!!! What will you look like? What will be your talents? What fun little journey we are on, we love you more than you will ever know. You are ours for eternity!!!

You are super behind on food, but starting to catch up. Bottles are still your main source of nutrition. You've started on some finger foods, nothing is your favorite yet. As for baby food, you love sweet potatoes and peas.

You say momma and dadda, and what's that.

Started sleeping through the night at 11 months.

You can climb the stairs.

You started crawling at 10 months.

You can clap your hands.

Waves bye bye.

Walks along the couch, and just started to let go for a second or two.

You like to be held, but don't like to be held- it's confusing.

You love to play toys, and can entertain yourself pretty well.

You love boy toys, and don't like to touch girl toys like dollies or Sadie's ponies (their hair creeps you out).

You have 5 teeth (3 on top, 2 on bottom).
