We went camping

over a month ago. It was the annual back to school camp out with a few friends in our ward the weekend before school started. We've been going for 4 years! However, we haven't stayed overnight the last two years. Too tricky with little babies. This year our normal camp site was under renovations so we went to a different group site. It was 30 mins of paved roads and a good 30-45 mins of off roading... It was a little scary, and rough. When we got there, there was no camp fires because the fire risk was high. No bathrooms. And no running water. No fire kind of put a damper on the group dutch oven dinner :/. We improvised. To be honest, for me it was kind of nice with no fire. One less hazard for me to worry about with the kids!!!! SWEET! The kids had a blasted exploring and playing with their friends. Benson played and crawled around in the dirt like a boy; actually so did Sadie. The mountains smelled sooo good. It was peaceful, pretty. We look forward to this camp out every year. This year was a little bit of a bust, but hopefully next year our regular place will be opened back up.
