Fall soccer is the best! It's still warm in the evenings for practice and it's the perfect temperature for Saturday morning games. This year our ward was able to make not 1 team of 5-6 year olds, but 2!!! We loved Connor's little team, these kids are the best-est of friends and so are us parents. Our team did really pretty good this year; I think we lost 3 and won all the others? Not, sure but it didn't matter, we all had a great time. Connor really liked to be the goalie, and he was great at it. He'd bend his knees, get down and shuffle back and forth, with a super serious face - he'd get in the zone ;). He still hasn't made a goal. However, his second to last game we encouraged him with $5 per goal. It motivated him, and he tried so hard and almost made one, but it hit the goal post. So we gave him $3. He said on his last game he was going to do it!!! But then the game got rained out, so he didn't get to earn anymore money. But there will be next year, right? He is such a cutie pie, he would run his little legs off out there on the field. He wasn't super aggressive, but that's not his nature - and I love him for that.
