nothing really.

life has been rather boring and uneventful since the holidays; but i love it!!!! we have had nothing to do, nowhere to go, so we sleep in and hangout! here's what we have done in the last 14 days of this new year.

woke up late, with crazy hair. i am not going to lie, on a few occasions we have not gotten any further than brushing our teeth for the day.

we made homemade brownies and connor licked the beaters.
However, we have managed to accomplish one task (that i did in my jammies); we painted and decorated connor's bedroom. connor's crib got recalled and now i get to go pick out a brand new crib worth $400 (and no, that is nowhere near what we spent on connors crib originally.) at no expense to us!!! i loved connor's white crib, but now i get to try out a new color!!! i think i will do a dark wood to match the glider. has anyone ever had a crib recalled??? all i know is i have to mail in the mattress supports and they send me a voucher for a new crib. well, my question is.... my crib is a 4 in 1 crib that converts to a full size bed. so, do i get to keep the crib rails and can i convert it into a full size bed since it's no longer usable as a crib? or do i have to take the rails into "babies r us" and surrender them?

oh yes, we do have some very exciting news that deserves it's very own post. see post below!

i would keep them and see if they say something. i know lots of conversion cribs don't come with the rails. lots are sold seperately.

the room looks so good. Is it the same color as the rest of the house or is it a little darker? Whichever....I love the color. It looks so cute with the furniture. I think the dark crib would be really rich looking in the room. That is neat about the recall(not really), but that you only have to send back just the brackets. Then you can have the rest of the bed minus the crib. If you have $400 to spend on another crib, that's not too bad if you get to keep the rest for Connor to grow into. Just spend $400 and get the best one you can get for $400. Have fun shopping. That would be a good time to get Connor in a big boy bed. Just curious, which wall did you put the birth sampler on?

Our friends just had a crib recalled and they just had to surrender a few parts and got to keep the rest. That is awesome that you get 400 bucks to shop for a new crib. Happy crib shopping!
