We went on our 2nd annual back to school camping trip with friends from our ward. We escaped the 109 heat by driving 30 minutes up the road to a cool 75-80 degrees. Connor was so excited to go (however, he seem a little grumpier than normal while we were up there. He had woken up really early the morning of out of excitement which made for a grouchy sleep boy in the evening). We had yummy dutch-oven chicken and potatoes, cobbler, and s'mores. Sadie did great and just hung out in her car seat or in our laps. Sadie still wakes up twice a night to eat so I decided not to stay overnight with her. Our friends the Shakespear's also have a little boy namedRex who is Connors age and a little girl who is 6 months older than Sadie. Kadyee and I took the girls home that night and left the boys to camp with their daddies. After I left, Ryan said Connor perked up and had lots of fun playing with Rex and Kylie. We love camping and need to do it more often.

What a great tradition. Looks like everyone had a great time, even Sadie....what a doll. Can't wait to snuggle with her. Glad you got to go. I think Connor is going to love everything outdoors! He loves being outside. His grins say it all!
