We had a great Christmas this year! We have a great one every year, we love Christmas time! This year we were lucky enough to have Ryan's brother Justin and Stacey and their cute kiddos come all the way from Mississippi to stay with us for 2 Weeks! For Christmas we all went up to Utah to Ryan's Sister's house for a couple days and Ryan's parents came down from Idaho. We had a blast. Christmas was exactly what it's suppose to be; lots of family (my favorite part), fun, crazy, laughter, sickness, yummy food, love, surprises, with some relaxing mixed in there. We had a very Merry Christmas!
To get into the Christmas spirit we got our lights up. I pulled out our icicle lights to hang and Connor was devastated they weren't "colored lights". So I plugged them in to test them out, of 4 strands only half of 2 strands worked. I decided I didn't want to repeat last year and go through every bulb so me and Connor devised a plan and gave pretty convincing pitch to Mr. Tight Pocket (aka Ryan) and got him to agree to get Connor some colored lights. We loved the colored lights, it looks like a little ginger bread house.
We went to Opportunity Village to see the Magical Forest of Lights. It was great, the amount of work that goes into this is amazing!
We got the kids dressed one morning and came out, too our surprise they were all matching! So funny! They carried their animals around with them non stop for 2 weeks! Such cute boys!
We made ginger bread houses. They turned out pretty cute, and the boys had fun. Connor kept telling me "you're not as good as Stacey mom!" silly boy.
We made it up to Utah and the first night Aunt Stephie had sugar cones to decorate into Christmas trees, such a cute idea.
The night before Christmas Eve we went to Salt Lake and ate at The Spaghetti Factory and then went to Temple Square to see the lights. It was beautiful and busy and cold, so we didn't stay too long.
Connor and Sadie stayed bundled up in the stroller. But that only lasted for a little bit, Connor wanted out and Sadie got anxious.
Kenna was so sweet with Connor! She is such a sweetie pie and Connor just adores her. In fact, just now he leaned over my shoulder saw the picture of him and Kenna and he said "I love McKenna!"
Christmas Morning!
Sadie's little Christmas dress was to die for. I wish they had one in my size :).
1. Trying to get Sadie and Connor to pose for a picture.
2. Sadie scratches Connor's cheek and makes him cry.
3. Connor still upset and won't turn around for a group jammie picture :).
such is life, right??
Santa surprised Connor with a Leappad.
And some M&M.
Sadie loved BJ! I am pretty sure the feeling wasn't mutual. He did good with her the first day or two, but by the end of the week he was pretty much over her shenanigans. It cracked me up.
After church we put our jammies back on and opened presents. I think Connor may have had more fun passing out the presents than actually opening them!
Lot's of presents + lots of people = lots and lots of fun, and A LOT of wrapping paper. We had a great time, and it was over too too too too fast!
Sadie slept through all of the present unwrapping. Which actually ended up working out perfect, that way we could watch Connor and everyone else. She woke up shortly after we were done and then she got her turn. Kenna got Sadie this adorable hat and Justin and Stacey got her the cute shades. Pretty stylish!
I dropped my camera on the tile Christmas morning and so all the pictures turned out funny. I also think there was a finger print on the lens (for most of December in fact), so that is why the pictures are pretty poor.
sweet face!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
