Once upon a time in a far away land called Las Vegas there lived some friends named the Shaffers, and the Heatons. They went to a fabulous place just 30 minutes from their doorstep called Mount Charleston. Who knew such a place existed so close to Las Vegas!? Here is their adventure:

That looked like a lot of fun. We try and go sledding in February at middle sinks (Just above Bear Lake). Glad you all had fun. Merry Christmas!!!
What a fun day! Holly and I were wondering if it was a blizzard up there for you guys? It was raining most the day down in the valley and we were worried you guys would have gotten snowed in. Glad to see you guys got back and had a blast!
What an awesome place. So cool that it is close to home. It's like another world, but only 30 minutes away. Looks like Connor had a blast and he didnt' act even one bit scared even with the cold and then the snow coming in his face. How fun. I bet that will be a tradidion for your family.
It hasn't even snowed here yet. Seeing you guys sledding and making a snow man makes me want it to. Who knew Las Vegas had all that snow so close? It looks like you guys had a blast!!

haha..there are so many things i love about this post. first of all, the snowman's fro and goatee... second, the fact that connor is getting frozen out on the front of the sled. his face is priceless... third, the dude love between ryan and nate. and lastly, the picture of the shaffers with their little girl...she does not look pleased! all very cute.
