Russ and Katy

Last weekend Russ and Katy came to visit. Fact: Ryan and Russ grew up together in Idaho. Fact: Ryan and Katy dated in college. Fact: Ryan and Katy mutually decided to be friends instead. Fact: Ryan set Katy up with his good friend Russ.....and the rest is history! We thought for sure we were never going to get Katy to visit Las Vegas because she can't stand the heat. But somehow Russ convinced her and we couldn't have been more excited! The weather was perfect for them, not too hot but not cool either. They stayed with us for a few days and then had reservations at a great hotel for the other few days! We had so much fun with them and hope they make this an annual trip!

On our way to Hoover Dam we saw a sign that said $29 helicopter rides of Hoover Dam. What a great deal! So after Hoover Dam we decided to stop and check it out. It really was $29! So Russ, Katy and Ryan boarded the helicopter. Ryan was pretty stoked he got to ride shot gun next to the pilot, so now has titled himself co-pilot and he's thinking about adding that to his resume.

Grilling hamburgers at Russ and Katy's hotel. They stayed at such a great place, it felt like Hawaii, and had awesome suites! If you ever come to Vegas and want to stay at a great hotel just off the strip go to the Tahiti Village! http://www.consolidatedresorts.com/property_tahiti_village.aspx

How fun! Isn't it nice to live somewhere cool that people want to visit so you can see friends more often? My Ryan and I have some friends where we did the same thing...dated each others best friends and are still able to remain friends. Works out great if you can make it work!

Looks and sounds like you guys had a great time. We are jealous. Everyone has seen you guys but us. We are going to make that trip whenever you get to close on your house. Glad they could come and have such great tour guides. Love you...mom h
